In 2004, Orit Nevo's FreeDome Project brought together Arab & Jewish circus artists and musicians under one tent to create a cirque-nouveau performance in Israel for the first time. Kenn was privileged to be invited as guest director. The work travelled to various places in Israel and was invited to CIRCA 2005, an international cirque-nouveau festival in Auch, France.
Taking their skills as the starting point, a story was created using the jugglers and acrobats, trapeze- and vertical cloth artists, clowns and dancers, puppeteers and musicians. A story that spoke of passion, endurance and perseverance in a war-torn land. Shakespeare obliged us with the title.
All that's left of it now are some pictures. We write on water. Everything is flowing.
